Job description
As the Assistant Sales Trainer at Furnitureland South you will be responsible for assisting Sales and Design Consultants with technical support and helping to create training and meeting materials. You will also assist with system training and sales acumen training to help improve effectiveness, consistency, and performance of Sales and Design Consultants. The ability to be adaptable in one’s daily schedule based on the level of important of problems needing solved is essential. As the Assistant Sales Trainer you must be advanced in the ability to learn new systems and proficient in middle to large group training sessions where you are able to express teachings effectively with high levels of enthusiasm.
Day in the life of the Assistant Sales Trainer may include...
- Assisting Sales and Design Consultants with technical support in troubleshooting order placement, product investigation, product information issues, and more.
- Assistant the rest of the Sales Education team in implementing system and sales trainings to advance the performance of Sales and Design Consultants.
- Create weekly sales meeting materials and various training materials.
- Work with vendors to assist in the coordination of vendor specific trainings, site visits, product updates, and more.
Essential skills for the Assistant Sales Training are
- Ability to facility large group trainings with high level of enthusiasm and clear communication.
- Advanced level in comfortability with technology.
- Ability to prioritize issues and be flexible in ones work day when more urgent issues come about.
Required Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Education, or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook. Etc.
- Ability to work on site at Furnitureland South on a daily basis.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Two years of sales experience preferred.
- Minimum of six months of training or leadership experience.
- Proficiency in Netsuite systems.
This is an on-site position.
Working Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
