The National Account Manager (NAM), is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with key individuals at Strategic Fulfillment Partner (SFP) accounts for the Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) division. The NAM is also responsible for the implementation of Ascensia Diabetes Care nationally developed programs. In addition, The NAM is also accountable for working with all field sales teams to drive implementation, pull-through, and sales for programs across sales functions.

What you will be doing:
The NAM is responsible for the identification, development and implementation of all business activities at the SFP’s. This includes the distribution, inventory, pricing, promotional programs and consumer pull-through of all Ascensia Diabetes Care CGM products.
Leverages selling skills, negotiation skills, product knowledge, technical knowledge and account management skills to build strong customer relationships that drive sales and share growth.
Consistently works at many levels and functions within the accounts to target the appropriate decision makers and deliver the information that drives sales and share growth for both the account and Ascensia Diabetes Care.
Demonstrates a full understanding and knowledge of accounts and uses this information to positively impact business outcomes, analyzes, anticipates, updates and adapts the account business plan to capitalize on changes in current and future market conditions. Individual must be able to measure results, trends and competitive initiatives to understand full landscape of opportunities.
Negotiate mutually beneficial contracts for assigned accounts to maximize business opportunities. Systematically measure contracts for compliance while working to negotiate terms and settlement of issues protecting Ascensia Diabetes Care interests.
Effectively collaborates across sales functions and business units within Ascensia Diabetes Care to achieve results that will drive sales and share. Provide direction and guidance to representatives and management of national programs for all trade activities at the national level.
Builds Ascensia Diabetes Care’s image as a leader in Trade sales by engaging in promotional activities and by attending trade shows, sales meetings, and symposiums, as assigned or directed, on a national level.
Practices fiscal control by keeping within a defined budget and managing given resources. Demonstrate personal accountability for results and achieve volume and financial budget.

What you need for success:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing and managing accounts within the DME and Rx channel. Direct experience and knowledge of all sales channels, but specifically Trade industry field is strongly preferred as this will be a priority focus for this position.
Incumbent must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, be financially astute, and have computer proficiency.
Must have previous experience and training in managing multiple channels in Medical Device category to include Trade customers with documented performance record and results and must understand the payer model well.
Significant experience or proven ability to negotiate with, and sell to senior decision makers in the DME and Rx channels.
Must possess highly developed cognitive and problem solving skills along with the creative solutions necessary to design innovative solutions that solve customers' problems within the market strategies, policies, and sales objectives of the company via telesales.
Must possess excellent analytical and conceptual skills along with appropriate business acumen to identify and understand basic business reports to analyze data and situations, identify opportunities and threats, develop and implement appropriate solutions and account specific plans to meet both short and long term objectives.
Must have ability to develop strategies and market dynamics to proactively make changes in the account business plan/contract to protect business, identify programs and opportunities to provide sales direction and achieve targets.
Must have a sense of urgency and passion to deliver results and act quickly to market conditions.
Understands the roles and responsibilities of being a leader by gaining support for ideas and implementing change to improve performance and achieve business results.
Must have above average presentation skills and techniques to engage buyers and audiences to secure their support and understanding of our goals and initiatives via telesales.
Must be able to gain confidence and trust of others through values established by Ascensia Diabetes Care.
Travel required: 25-50%
