VERTICOM has evolved from a four-person general contracting company in the wireless industry to now a 200+ person company occupying a 140,000 square foot facility on 8 acres.Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
Summary: The Foreman will perform general non-climbing construction of cellular sites to include, but not limited to site preparation, excavation, access road/compound (grading, gravel, fencing, etc.), foundations, electrical/telco facilities, steel assembly, base station, dc power plants, basic electrical wiring), cell operations maintenance/repair; operates equipment to include skid steer, mini-x, trucks with trailers, power tools, and non-powered tools.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the crew from the beginning of a project through completion, ensuring safety and quality standards, budget, and timelines are met- Review documentation with the crew to prepare for the build, assemble the necessary materials, and determine the required installation methods
- Supervise the tracking of all on-site inventory and materials
- Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per the deliverable timelines
- Training crew members on proper safety/quality standards to align with CCDP (Crew Career Development Program)
- Verify that the crew members have proper certifications and skillsets to perform the scope of work
- Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies as needed
- Submit daily reports on-site progress with any potential schedule delays and or needed / missing materials
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of installation methods with raw land construction, tower foundations, rebar installation, site layouts, road construction, conduit installation, and ground rings
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Computer proficient
- Ability to operate mini-x, skid steers, and other heavy equipment as needed
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the schedule set forth
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety procedures
- High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
- Must be in good physical condition
- Ability to travel away from home, including weekends
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
