We are looking for a driven Ideas and Scripts Manager to not only write short motivational video scripts but to also lead our amazing team of Screenwriters at Dhar Mann Studios. This person is someone who can come up with creative ideas, write dialogue, create characters, and develop storylines that teach important lessons for all demographics. This individual will be able to lead a team with new ideas and concepts while writing in a very niche style that follows a certain formula. Each video is around 8-20 minutes of length, involves 2-25 actors, in-studio locations, and is intended for social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube and IGTV. Since we are a mission-led company and all of the content we create inspires people, the right candidate will find the hard work to be exciting and highly satisfying!


  • Developing ideas that are relatable and teach valuable lessons to our community by researching and analyzing trends, pop culture, viral content
  • Collaborating with various teams to make sure scripts have a strong moral, resonate with the target audience, and have minimal production complexities
  • Analyzing the performance of videos while making necessary adjustments to continuously improve scripts
  • Coming up with 3-5 new ideas a week and write 2 scripts each week that are around 20 pages long
  • Directly overseeing our team of screenwriters, processes, and workflows
  • Assigning, scheduling, and monitoring all scripts, anticipating various needs, and maintaining the organization of all files
  • Demonstrating creative thought leadership, keeping ahead of trends, and providing proactive inspiration and recommendations
  • Understanding story structure and following best screenwriting practices
  • Protecting the company brand and ensuring all content adheres to our family values


  • 2+ years experience as a Scripts Manager, or a similar senior level role within film production
  • 5+ years as a Screenwriter for short films, preferably in drama and family-friendly content
  • Strong writing talent, as well as creativity, patience, self-motivation, and an understanding of the filmmaking process
  • Ability to write for a wide range of audiences, including younger age range
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to to collaborate with multiple departments
  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends and come up with solutions when emergencies arise


You will report directly to the Ideas and Scripts Senior Manager


Currently, the Ideas and Scripts Manager oversees a team of Screenwriter Associates


Our Ideas and Scripts Manager will work remotely from home or personal office and will be required to utilize Dhar Mann Studios time tracking software to log and submit work hours


This is a full-time role, detailed schedule and flexibility will be discussed during the interview

Our organization looks to hire the BEST of the best and we focus on finding candidates who are a strong cultural fit. We have a 3 month 'Discovery Period' in place that allows us to get to know each new hire better and assess their skill set. Management-level roles will be part of a different Discovery Period for each step of the ladder (but again this does not affect your pay or compensation package).
