Job descriptionPOSITION PURPOSE:
The Sr. Manager, Commercial Initiatives will conduct in-depth, strategic analysis for the existing business and new business ventures for the development and maintenance of a comprehensive strategic plan for the US commercial business. The incumbent will provide strategic execution support to the United States region with respect to financial and strategic planning, including the development of Board of Directors proposals and recommendations.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Develop strategies to drive top-line and bottom-line growth for the US through market analytics, KPI definition, commercial priorities and global program alignment
Lead strategic initiatives for the US and collaborate with US leadership team to develop and execute winning strategies
Manage execution of complex business operations and maintain clear expectations and accountability for direct reports of the General Manager, US and Region Head, North America
Develop strategies for launch of new products and partnerships including in Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) and digital solutions
Evaluate and apprise the US leadership of competitor strategies and analytics to drive decision making
Lead and participate in the preparation of briefings, presentations and/or reports on behalf of senior management on strategic, institutional and operational issues
Establish and track the organization’s performance against key objectives and priorities
Serve as an interface between the US and the different global entities such as Diabetes Domain, CGM BU, Innovation, Marketing, etc.
Support new business development projects with developing commercial strategy for the US and short term execution plans for integration, onboarding new members and partner onboarding

Bachelor’s Degree required and Advanced Degree (MBA) preferred
At least 3-5 years of experience at senior staff / strategic leadership level; 10+ years overall experience
Track record of strong analytics skills, including work in strategy definition and refinement
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong management presentation development skills
Must have ability to provide strategic counsel to management team
Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across constituencies within a global matrixed organization
Proven capacity for leadership and prior experience leading a team
Strong problem-solving capabilities
Entrepreneurial; demonstrates organizational agility
