Candidates for this position should have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated to succeed in a competitive industry and a willingness to grow with the company. A stable customer base within healthcare facilities and 2-3 years of direct sales experience is required.
POSITION SUMMARY The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate processing and timely delivery of assigned pay runs using third-party software. The Payroll Specialist also works to assure the proper tax treatment of the payroll, and pays close attention to time off accruals and usage, benefits deductions, and retirement contributions. It is imperative that the Payroll Specialist maintains the confidentiality of employee pay data and other Personally Identifiable Information. ON ANY GIVEN DAY, YOU COULD BE DOING THESE THINGS
Processing payroll data for our clinicians’ weekly payroll cycle
Addressing and resolving employee questions regarding all aspects of their pay and taxes
Working directly with finance and staffing teams to research and resolve matters of questionable payroll and shift data
Calculating adjustments for back pay and correcting pay errors
Balancing and finalizing pay runs for multiple regions, including generating related reports
Other scope of work as defined by management
What We Expect from You
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
High School diploma / G.E.D. required, college degree preferred, CPP strongly preferred
Understanding of payroll methods, as well as federal and state labor and tax regulations
An understanding of people in healthcare and millennial workers
Experience identifying gaps and improving processes and programs
Experience prioritizing needs and coming to the table with solutions
Strong report-writing skills desired
Ability to model and strictly follow directions and procedures as required
Extreme proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Excellent analytical skills
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and drive to solve issues
Ability to perform under pressure, work with a wide variety of constituents, and meet strict deadlines
Serious sense of urgency and strong work ethic, highly intuitive, and desire to show initiative
Approach to work that is positive, solution-oriented, optimistic and enthusiastic
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing/evolving growth, and respond strategically to organizational needs
Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building collaborative relationships
