THE ROLE:

We are on the cusp of a digital revolution here at SciPlay that will forever change the course of the gaming industry and completely rewrite the future of our company. This position will be filling a key role in the building of that future, specifially in the trailblazing transformation of our game servers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with engineering leads from multiple teams to help define gaps and areas for improvement in the existing code base
Provide architectural insight and develop shared systems which can be utilized by all game teams
Aid in the continuing development of coding standards and best practices
Deliver high quality, well-documented code that complies with technical design and product requirements
Stay apprised of innovations in the industry and make recommendations on their applicability

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 7 years of PHP development
Minimum of 7 years of MySQL experience
Minimum of 3 years of cloud experience
Professional experience working in an Agile/Scrum/XP environment
Professional experience with modern version control systems like Git and Mercurial
Strong communication skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience with optimization, profiling, and debugging tools and techniques, particularly on mobile platforms
Experience with Unity and its plugin ecosystem
Experience building systems in a cloud ecosystem
Experience with data driven applications
