About the opportunity: This global position has responsibility as the North America region Procurement focal representative to collaborate with key stake holders on programs and initiatives. You will be responsible for global strategy & development, contract negotiations, and supplier management. You will take initiative to gather market intelligence and business requirements, analyzing supplier spend, managing sourcing projects, assessing supplier risk and sustainability, and cost analysis. In addition, this position will facilitate, lead and /or participate in continuous improvement efforts and act as focal point with key divisional stakeholders for projects within their scope of responsibility.

What you will be doing:
Support Global strategic projects and initiatives with sourcing expertise. Identify potential sources of supply on projects and initiatives. Perform business analysis, risk assessment, and provide recommendations and solutions to internal clients based on organizational need and financial objectives.
Take the lead role with in-source / outsource analysis, and strategic moves and resourcing of Services.
Prepare and submit Requests for Proposals & Requests for Quotations to sources of supply. Evaluate supplier proposals based on the value proposition represented. Facilitate the internal meetings to summarize the result by preparing documents, e.g. scorecard. Lead the negotiation team to favorable conclusion.
Collaborate with internal business clients to prepare and perform annual supplier performance reviews with Key Suppliers. Ensure continuous improvement in supplier relationship and contract management compliance.
Support continuous regional and global procurement process improvements through internal and external benchmarking of cost, quality, and technology. Assistance in strategic planning within Procurement, support implementation of the various initiatives.
Serves as subject matter expert to the Head of Global Procurement through reporting and recommending financial merits of alternative action on sourcing strategies and contractual terms and conditions.
Support, refine, and optimize procurement guidelines, policies and procedures among Procurement, and Regional / Country clients.
Identify and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the global ADC Procurement Function to evaluate and benchmark the functional performance of existing procurement processes and systems.

What you need for success:
B.S. degree in Business, Finance, or Life Sciences with fifteen (15) or more years of experience in the Procurement. M.B.A. is preferable.
Must possess strong financial acumen to analyze and advise effectively.
Strong organizational, coordination and communication (oral and written) skills and sound judgment are required due to the high degree of interaction with all level of management.
Strong project management skills are essential for this position.
Ability to influence and gain consensus, plan strategy, and lead complex negotiations are imperative.
Ability to communicate with a broad range a functions /specialists.
Ability to present to executive level steering committees to obtain decisions/approvals. Candidate must be Fluent in English.
