About the opportunity: In this critical regional role, you will be fully responsible for organization, storage and distribution of Diabetes Care products for Inbound US, Exports and Domestic Warehousing and Transportation activities under a 4PL global operation. You would ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time, at an effective cost. You may be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods. Understanding the whole supply chain is important so you can coordinate it effectively and liaise with suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, 3rd party service providers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers.What you will be doing:
Be the Logistics partner for the organization in North America and the first escalation point for the Planning, Customer Operations and Commercial teams, to review logistics requirements and service needs.
Manage the transportation and related activities ensuring conformance with all service level requirements and applicable regulations (GMP, GDP, IATA}
Lead continuous Improvements on Cost and Service management.
Work with cross functional teams interacting with logistics partners, contract manufacturing organizations, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and continuous supply of product.
Coordinate with our local customs brokers across North America to ensure controls are in place. Coordinate with internal trade compliance organization to ensure shipments meet all international trade compliance requirements and that document controls are in place.
Create SOPs and instructions that meet compliance standards for GDP, cGMP, and any country specific regulations.
Conduct business reviews and ensure logistics vendors are executing for day-to-day operations including invoicing (order to cash) and supplier relations.
Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems (e.g. scorecards, KPIs}.
Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
What you need for success:
BS/MS in Business, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent qualification
Theoretical and practical background in distribution and logistics processes (forecasting and production planning is a plus)
Proven capability to lead complex cross-functional projects, relevant Supply Chain or Logistics and Trade experience
6 years in Medical Device or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment
Experience working with Sales and Marketing teams and 3rd Party Service Providers
Knowledge of relevant trade and commerce regulations for domestic and international transport
Fluent in English, German is an asset
Superior change management skills that consider and evaluate all points of view, take decisive action and drive efficient change in the organization
