About the role: The Regional Procurement Manager Americas / Global IT Procurement Category Lead will focus on global strategy development, contract negotiations, and supplier management of all regional and IT Global Services, across PHC Group's operating companies: Ascensia Diabetes Care, Epredia and PHCbi.
This position, with responsibility as the focal representative for the NA Region Procurement as well as for the Global IT stakeholders, needs to collaborate with key stakeholder-directed programs and initiatives. Responsible for identifying potential sources of supply for respective platform services. This position will focus on leading by example through high energy and engagement level, passionate about people, procurement and performance.
What you will be doing:
Lead and ensure business alignment
Lead the areas of strategy development, negotiation preparation & execution, performance management, and financial management of strategic procurement initiatives.
Maintain links between local, regional and global activities and ensure implementation of initiatives
Manage operational sourcing activities: gather market intelligence and business requirements, analyzing supplier spend, managing sourcing projects, assessing supplier risk and sustainability, and cost analysis.
Facilitate, lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts and act as focal point with key divisional stakeholders for projects
Lead and Ensure effective transaction / requisition support
Support regional processes and technology deployment (Netsuite e.g.)
Lead and develop a team of two direct reports
What you need for success:
10 years’ experience in Procurement
Bachelor's degree preferred
Strong financial acumen to analyze and advise effectively
Strong project management skills
Ability to influence and gain consensus, plan strategy, and lead complex negotiations
Ability to present to executive level steering committees to obtain decisions/approvals
Strong organizational, coordination and communication (oral and written) skills and sound judgment are required due to the high degree of interaction with all levels of management
Ability to communicate with a broad range a functions /specialists
Experience managing a team
