The role you’ll contribute:
The IV Team Registered Nurse is responsible for the placement, monitoring and assessment of peripherally inserted central catheters. This position serves as a resource for patient care within an assigned group of patients as related to other clinical activities. The IV Team Nurse is responsible for overall control of the quality and performance improvement tracking related to PICC lines and continued care of the patients with centrally inserted central catheters. Provides educational resources as related to PICC lines and care of the centrally inserted central catheters. Incumbent must utilize both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery.

- Providing health promotion strategies and education to patients and their support system,
- Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the need of patients for PICC placement vs. peripheral IV Therapy needs.
- Provides insertion of bedside IV access.
- Assesses patients for appropriateness of therapy, correctness of infusion prescription and appropriate vascular access device selection.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current state of Florida registered nurse licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advance Cardiac Life Support
- Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
