Position: Security Manager II

Security Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Security Manager II must be familiar with and shall provide the following duties and responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the project in accordance with the statement of work, budget, and scheduled deliverables.
- Provide recommendations regarding project management and participating in the development of project management practices, procedures, and processes.
- Provide a managed structure of data for decision-making and recommending courses of action.
- The Security Manager II shall track, update, and prepare reports on various specialized projects utilizing databases tracking history and processes.
- Review biweekly reports.
- Review project performance reports and other documents.
- Prepare monthly status reports in a prescribed format for management review in coordination with the budget analyst and lead contractor manager.
- The Security Manager II shall update and review Microsoft (MS) Project Schedule information, forecasting future progress-based project data.
- Develop agendas in coordination with managers, facilitate meetings as required, and edit management meeting minutes.
- Assist with special projects to include special presentation charts, model development, forms development, and project management training.
- The Security Manager II shall provide extensive support to the Department of State's programs to protect classified National Security information at all levels and sensitive but unclassified information within the Department and entrusted to private industry.
- Experience with applicable security requirements and practices in the civilian sector of the federal government.
- The Security Manager II must have demonstrated experience consistent with security principles and best practices with applicable Federal regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Work under limited supervision in performing program security support.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word; basic Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and applicable security regulations.
- Possess a technical proficiency, specialized experience, and management in the area(s) of the project's statement of work.
- Possess analytical and specialized technical skills, which will enable him/her to perform all aspects of the job to include security project management and policy issues agency wide.
- Formulate strategies, and establish priorities for resolution in a timely, responsive manner
- Communicate effectively with all levels of Department of State personnel and other Federal agencies.
Minimum Education:
- Undergraduate degree in a related technical, security or management discipline with five (5) to seven (7) years related specialized security experience
- Degree not required with seven (7) to nine (9) years of specialized experience.
- Specialized experience is directly related to duties and responsibilities to include policy and security standards development, risk analysis and scheduling, logistics, budget analysis, project management planning responsibilities.
- Two (2) years of direct Government contracting experience at task/project management level and applicable Industry Certification desired
