Job description
As a Software Quality Technician at Wegmans, you will help to ensure a high quality software experience by testing, modifying, integrating, and maintaining, automated testing software solutions. You will be responsible for writing test cases based on requirements and user stories and executing test plans to solve problems at system and application code level.
What will I do?
- Help to securely code low to moderately complex automated testing software programs, for front-end and back-end systems; solve problems at system and application code level
- Prepare general and detailed work plans for low complex solutions around automated testing software development
- Help build software testing frameworks
- Test, debug code, and maintain, modify, and integrate automated testing software solutions
- Learn and utilize knowledge of software development using C# .Net or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Execute bug tracking based on defined standards throughout project lifecycle
- Assist with writing SQL queries for low to moderately complex problems to manage data, debug issues and perform system tests
- Help perform manual\automated testing using supported Wegmans tools
- Help apply best practices for system design and architecture
- Responsible for single test effort deliverables
- Follows standards to ensure metrics for testing are successfully working
Required Qualifications:
- 1 or more years software development experience and testing
- Skills in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Languages, and Software Applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Completed Internship or Co-Op in a related field
